Laurie Burke, NKBA member, has been creating beautiful kitchens and baths throughout Southern California since 1996. Her years of experience working for construction companies allows her to provide valuable insight in guiding clients through the construction bid and remodeling process. Adept at integrating cabinetry, appliances, lighting and environmentally responsible building materials, Laurie provides her clients with full service expertise in kitchen & bath design. Her ability to collaborate with architects, contractors, and her clients have earned Laurie a well deserved reputation as a true professional. Laurie’s extensive experience and creativity have led to industry recognition, publications, and most importantly, very satisfied clients. Kathy Phillipson, Lead Designer

What began as a love for updating homes nearly 30 years ago has developed into a focus on custom kitchen and bath design. Kathy is professionally trained in architectural design and interior space planning. Like a great recipe, her creative eye blends the best of good design styles with functionality into every design project. Kathy believes in listening to her client’s wants, and with keen attention to details, applies her knowledge and expertise to create the finest kitchens and baths. She likes to work closely with her clients during the project to ensure the final outcome is to their complete satisfaction. Kathy’s passion for enhancing the built environment extends into the community where she helped formed a committee with the City of Santa Clarita to identify areas for city improvement projects. Landscaped medians and street signage have taken place over a course of many years. Volunteering since 1992, Kathy has been recognized by the City of Santa Clarita and the County of Los Angeles with a Special Commendation award for dedicated service to Santa Clarita while serving as President of the “Holiday Home Tour League” of the Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital. The Home Tour League raises money for Women’s and Neo-natal services for the hospital. X Close

Karen Hernandez, Designer

Karen’s design experience began at a young age and her style and endless enthusiasm is insurmountable. She is able to create kitchens and baths that uniquely represent each client in a functional and creative way. She has experience working with contractors, designers, architects and homeowners designing cabinetry for their homes and projects. Being able to cater to customers and accommodate their independent needs is her priority and will undoubtedly win you over. Karen is currently continuing her education at California State University Northridge being that learning is her passion. Her hobbies include spending time with her family and husband as well as enjoying the scenery at the beach and reading. X Close
